These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Demetr (the “App”), a personal meal companion that helps you capture meals, estimate nutrition, and read short daily insights.
By using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Demetr lets you photograph, import, or describe meals, estimate foods and nutrition with cloud AI, save meals and photo cutouts on your device, set nutrition goals, optionally write nutrition to Apple Health, and generate readable daily insights. Estimates are approximate and may be incomplete or incorrect.
Sign in with Apple is required to use cloud analysis features. Quotas and optional Plus subscriptions are tied to that Apple identity. The Free plan includes a limited total number of meal analyses and Daily Insights; Plus includes a daily number of each that resets at midnight in your time zone. Current limits are shown in the App and may change. You may delete your account and data together in Settings, which removes server-side account data and local meal history. Deleting your account does not restore Free analyses already used. App Store subscriptions are managed separately in your Apple ID settings.
Meal analysis and insights are generated with assistance from a third-party AI service (OpenAI). Content is for personal awareness only. It is not medical, dietary, or professional advice. Do not rely on Demetr for clinical decisions.
You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to disrupt its operation, reverse engineer it except where permitted by law, or use it in a way that violates third-party rights or applicable law. You are responsible for the accuracy of edits you make to meal entries.
Optional Plus subscriptions are sold through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a plan includes a free trial, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel in Apple ID settings (or via Manage Subscription in the App). Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.
The App, its design, and original materials belong to the App provider or its licensors. Photos you capture remain yours. Generated estimates and insights are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use within the App.

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or accurate nutrition estimates.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
